Branching lanes
Narrow roads branch and re-branch from the main routes, creating a fine, organic network that covers the landscape evenly rather than forming a centre.

关于地图
Malayinkeezhu Map Poster & Print
Malayinkeezhu lies in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, a short distance inland from the state capital. As with much of southern Kerala, it is not a compact town in the usual sense. On a map, homes and small clusters of buildings spread through undulating green country, so the boundary between village and town is soft and difficult to trace.
The road network is what gives the map its character. Main roads connect Malayinkeezhu to Thiruvananthapuram and neighbouring towns, while countless narrow lanes branch from them, following ridges and curving around low hills. Streams and waterlogged valleys run between the slopes, and the lanes rarely run straight for long.
A Malayinkeezhu map poster turns this pattern into a fine, branching drawing, closer to a leaf than a grid. There are no large open spaces or sharp edges, only an even spread of lanes across the landscape. In black and white it becomes a delicate texture that reflects the quiet, green character of this part of Kerala.

Low hills and valleys
The terrain rises and falls gently, and roads follow the higher ground while streams and paddy occupy the valleys between them.
Soft edges
Settlement blends into the surrounding countryside without a clear boundary, so the poster reads as a continuous texture rather than an outlined town.

为什么选 Malayinkeezhu
一张有意义的地图
For many Keralites working in the Gulf, other states or further afield, a map of home is a quiet anchor. Malayinkeezhu's lanes carry memories of family houses, temple festivals and walks through the greenery.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a house name or a family date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match your room.
