关于地图
Maradi Map Poster & Print
Maradi lies in south-central Niger, close to the border with Nigeria, in the valley of the Goulbi de Maradi, a seasonal river. Its map shows a low, widely spread city of courtyard houses and walled compounds, arranged along broad sandy streets, with the river valley and farmland forming a softer edge on one side.
The city is one of Niger's main commercial centres, long tied to trade with northern Nigeria, and it serves a farming region known for groundnuts, millet and livestock. The majority of its people are Hausa, and the traditional chieftaincy remains an important institution in the social life of the city.
A Maradi map poster presents a quiet, horizontal city laid out on open ground, with the market district at its heart and roads leading toward Zinder, Niamey and the frontier. It is a portrait of the Sahel at its most ordinary and real, rather than a picture of dunes or desert.

Market centre
Streets converge on the central market, where blocks become smaller and denser, marking the busiest point of a city built on commerce.
Compound grid
Residential areas spread in loose grids of sandy streets and walled courtyards, a calm, repeating pattern that fills much of the frame.
