关于地图
Mariel Map Poster & Print
Mariel lies on Cuba's northern coast, about forty-five kilometres west of Havana in the province of Artemisa. The map is dominated by its bay, a deep inlet that opens to the sea through a slim channel and widens inland into a sheltered basin. The old town sits along the water, with a modest grid of streets rising gently from the shore.
The name is known worldwide from the Mariel boatlift of 1980, when more than a hundred thousand Cubans left for the United States from this harbour. In recent years the bay has become the site of a large container terminal and a special development zone, whose wharves and cleared land now occupy a major part of the shoreline.
A Mariel map poster holds both chapters of the town's story in one frame: the quiet streets of the old centre and the broad industrial shapes of the new port. The bay itself, with its narrow mouth and irregular inner shore, is a natural focal point that looks striking in black and white.

Container terminal
Long straight quays and large rectangular yards on the bay's shore mark the modern port, a sharp geometric contrast to the older town streets.
Old town grid
The historic centre forms a small, regular pattern of blocks beside the water, climbing gently from the harbour front toward higher ground inland.

为什么选 Mariel
一张有意义的地图
For many Cuban families in the United States and elsewhere, Mariel is a place tied to departure and reunion. A map of its bay and streets can mark that history with care, or simply record a hometown on the coast.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as $9 PNG and PDF files or a printed matte poster with optional wooden frame.
