Organic path network
Streets and paths follow everyday routes rather than a planned grid. At poster scale they form an irregular web of fine lines connecting clusters of homes.

关于地图
Mboursou Léré Map Poster & Print
Mboursou Léré lies in Mayo-Kebbi Ouest, in the southwest of Chad, not far from the border with Cameroon. From above, the settlement has an open, loose structure. Paths and unpaved roads connect clusters of compounds, and there is plenty of space between them. The rigid block pattern of planned cities is absent, and the layout grows directly out of how people move across the land.
The surrounding country is Sudanian savanna, crossed by seasonal watercourses that belong to the wider Mayo-Kebbi basin. On a map, the region reads as a scatter of settlements linked by tracks that branch and rejoin. The result is a drawing that looks almost hand-made, with irregular, organic lines and none of the grids found elsewhere.
A Mboursou Léré map poster keeps that honest simplicity. Rendered in black and white, the paths become fine strokes on a wide field of white, closer to a sketch than a plan. It suits people with ties to Mayo-Kebbi and anyone who values maps of places that rarely appear on posters at all.

Savanna surroundings
Open savanna surrounds the settlement. On the map it appears as generous white space, which gives the drawn streets room to breathe.
Near the Cameroon border

为什么选 Mboursou Léré
一张有意义的地图
For families from Mayo-Kebbi Ouest, living in N'Djamena or abroad, a map of Mboursou Léré is a quiet way to keep home on the wall. Its loose, open lines look very different from city grids, and that is exactly why the print feels personal.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or an important year, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files come without a watermark, in six print sizes from A3 up to 24×36″.
