关于地图
Messaad Map Poster & Print
Messaad lies in Djelfa province in central Algeria, south of the provincial capital, in the high steppe where the Saharan Atlas gives way to desert. On a map the town is a dense, well-defined block of streets surrounded by open land, with only a few roads leading away across the plain toward neighbouring settlements.
The region has long been a place of pastoral life and of trade between the north and the Sahara, and the town serves the surrounding area as a market and administrative centre. The remains of a Roman frontier fort, known as Castellum Dimmidi, lie near the town and mark one of the southernmost Roman outposts in the region.
A Messaad map poster is defined by contrast. The town's closely packed streets form a strong, compact shape, and around them the map is almost empty, which makes the settlement stand out sharply in black and white. It reads as a portrait of a place shaped by open land, where each road leading out carries weight.

Roads across the steppe
A handful of roads leave the town in straight or gently curving lines, the only strong marks across the open land beyond the built-up area.
Open arid land
Large empty areas surround the town on every side, which in print act as a wide margin and give the composition a calm, spacious feel.

为什么选 Messaad
一张有意义的地图
For families from the Djelfa region living in Algiers, elsewhere in Algeria or abroad, this is a clear image of home. Its simple, bold shape also appeals to anyone who likes maps where a single town sits alone in a wide landscape.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a family name or a significant date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files or order a printed poster.
