关于地图
Minatitlán Map Poster & Print
Minatitlán lies in southern Veracruz on the Coatzacoalcos River, a short distance upstream from the Gulf of Mexico. The river curves wide past the city, and the map is defined by that broad bend, with streets on the higher ground along its bank and wetlands and lowland beyond.
The city is closely tied to the oil industry. The Lázaro Cárdenas refinery, one of Mexico's oldest, occupies a large area next to the river, and its tank farms and internal roads show as a distinct industrial pattern beside the residential grid. Much of the city grew up in the twentieth century around that work.
A Minatitlán map poster shows the relationship between river, industry and town in a single image. The sweeping curve of the water, the geometric refinery grounds and the dense neighbourhoods around them make a strong, unusual composition.

Refinery grounds
The refinery covers a large riverside site, with circular storage tanks and straight internal roads. From above it reads as a precise industrial pattern.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets climb the higher ground away from the river. Their grid bends to the terrain, giving the city a slightly irregular texture.
