关于地图
Mokopane Map Poster & Print
Mokopane, formerly known as Potgietersrus, lies in Limpopo Province on the main route north from Pretoria toward Polokwane. Its map shows an older town laid out in a regular grid, with newer suburbs and townships spreading around it and the land beyond opening into bushveld, farmland and low hills that rise westward toward the Waterberg.
The name recalls Mokopane, a nineteenth-century Ndebele leader. Nearby, the Makapan Valley caves are among the fossil hominid sites of South Africa listed by UNESCO, known for evidence of early human ancestors. The district is also known for platinum mining along the northern limb of the Bushveld Complex.
A Mokopane map poster balances the orderly centre against a more scattered, open landscape. The grid gives the design its structure, while the approach roads, outlying neighbourhoods and large tracts of empty land create a sense of scale that suits the wide northern horizon.

North road axis
The main route between Pretoria and Polokwane passes the town as a long line, giving the composition a strong north–south direction.
Bushveld surroundings
Beyond the suburbs the map opens into bushveld and farmland crossed by scattered roads, leaving wide pale spaces around the built-up area.

为什么选 Mokopane
一张有意义的地图
Whether someone grew up in Mokopane, worked on the mines nearby or came to study the Makapan Valley, the town tends to stay with them. Its map is a quiet way to keep that part of Limpopo in view.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, which suits the dry bushveld. Order the $9 digital files or a printed poster on matte paper.
