关于地图
Monguno Map Poster & Print
Monguno is a town in Borno State in the far north-east of Nigeria, in the flat Sahelian country that slopes gently toward Lake Chad. From above, the landscape is spacious and open, and the town appears as a cluster of compounds and sandy lanes with a few main roads leading out across the plain.
A Monguno map poster reflects the character of settlements in this region. Streets follow the edges of family compounds rather than a planned grid, forming an irregular, organic web. Around the town, the land opens into scrub, fields and seasonal waterways, which gives the map generous space and a calm, understated composition.
Monguno is the headquarters of Monguno Local Government Area and a centre for the surrounding rural communities. In recent years it has also served as an important hub for humanitarian organisations working in northern Borno, and it remains linked by road to Maiduguri, the state capital, to the south.

Roads to the plain
A few main roads leave the town across open country, including the route south toward Maiduguri, framing the settlement within the wide landscape.
Lake Chad basin
The town sits on level ground in the basin that drains toward Lake Chad, so the map shows a compact settlement set in a very open field.
