关于地图
Mufumbwe Map Poster & Print
Mufumbwe is the administrative centre of a district in Zambia's North-Western Province, a sparsely populated region of woodland, plains and rivers. The town itself is small, and from above it reads as a handful of streets and plots gathered around the main road, with public buildings, a market area and homes spread out in a relaxed, uncrowded pattern.
Around it the map opens into a vast landscape. Tracks lead away through the woodland to villages and farms, and the distances between settlements are long. This makes the drawing unusual among town maps: the settlement is a small, detailed cluster in the middle of the sheet, surrounded by space that speaks of the scale of the country around it.
A Mufumbwe map poster suits people with family roots in the district, teachers, health workers and others who have lived there on a posting, or anyone who values the modesty of a small provincial town. Nothing is exaggerated: the poster simply shows where the roads go and how the settlement sits within its land.

Low-density centre
Plots and buildings are spaced generously rather than packed into blocks, so the centre appears as an open lattice of short streets instead of a dense core.
Woodland tracks
Outside town, thin tracks wind through the surrounding bush toward distant villages, stretching across the margins and emphasising how spacious the district is.
