The cliff terrace
The village occupies a narrow natural shelf above a sheer drop. On paper the lanes and chalets hold closely to that edge, and they read like a line drawn along the lip of the valley.

关于地图
Mürren Map Poster & Print
Mürren sits on a sunny terrace high above the Lauterbrunnen valley in the Bernese Oberland. On a map the setting is dramatic. The village spreads along a narrow shelf, and a steep drop falls to the valley floor on one side while the slopes of the Schilthorn rise on the other. No public roads reach it. Visitors arrive by cable car and mountain railway.
Because there are no roads for cars, Mürren's paths and lanes are small and irregular. They wind between chalets along the edge of the terrace. The village has a long place in ski history. The first modern slalom was set here in the 1920s, and the Inferno race still runs from the Schilthorn down towards the valley. The summit restaurant at the top appeared in a James Bond film.
A Mürren map poster captures a place defined by its edges, with a thin strip of village, a cliff below and mountain above. The drawing has few lines, and that is its strength. The shape of the terrace, and the absence of any road leading in, say most of what you need to know about living and skiing up here.

No roads in
Mürren has no road link for cars. The map shows only footpaths, lanes and the lines of the railway and cable cars, which gives the drawing a rare, uncluttered look.
The Schilthorn above
The Schilthorn rises behind the village, with lifts to its summit restaurant. The ski terrain spreads between the terrace and the peak, and the Inferno race begins at the top.

为什么选 Mürren
一张有意义的地图
Mürren leaves a strong impression. Arriving by cable car, with the valley and the high peaks opposite, is hard to forget. A poster of the terrace village is a quiet reminder of that arrival and of the time spent up there.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the year of your first Inferno or a honeymoon date, and keep the coordinates. The Blueprint style suits the precise terrain, and Paper softens it. Classic black & white, Noir and Sand are the other options.
