Open town plan
Streets are widely spaced with large blocks in between, so the centre reads as airy rather than dense and the print keeps a light, balanced feel.

关于地图
Nachingwea Map Poster & Print
Nachingwea is a town in the Lindi Region of southern Tanzania, inland from the Indian Ocean coast. It sits in fairly level country, and its map shows a spacious town with long roads, wide blocks and plenty of open ground, surrounded by fields and patches of woodland that extend far in every direction.
The town is known for its part in the Tanganyika groundnut scheme of the late 1940s, a large British colonial project to grow peanuts at scale, which chose Nachingwea as one of its main areas. Later, during the liberation struggles of southern Africa, a camp near the town trained fighters of Mozambique's FRELIMO movement.
On paper, Nachingwea reads as a place built with room to spare. The broad spacing of its streets differs from the tighter, organic patterns of older coastal towns. A Nachingwea map poster brings out that open plan and its relationship with the wide agricultural land that surrounds it.

为什么选 Nachingwea
一张有意义的地图
Nachingwea connects to stories of colonial agriculture, southern African liberation and everyday life in Lindi. A map of it is a meaningful piece for people with roots here, and for those whose family history passes through the town.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, and there are five styles to choose from. Download 300 DPI files in six sizes for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
