Border-bound roads
The main roads through Niellé head towards the Malian and Burkinabè borders and to towns further south. They are the strongest lines on the map.

关于地图
Niellé Map Poster & Print
Niellé lies in the far north of Ivory Coast, in savanna country close to the borders with Mali and Burkina Faso. From above, the town looks low and spread out. Groups of houses and compounds sit among trees and fields, linked by a small number of roads that carry most of the traffic.
Its position near the frontier shows on the map. Main routes lead north towards the neighbouring countries and south towards the larger towns of the region. The streets between them are informal and organic, and they follow compound boundaries more than any fixed grid. Around the edges, cultivated plots and paths take over.
A Niellé map poster keeps this character intact. The image does not force a formal plan onto the town. It shows the looser web of lanes, the thicker lines of the through-roads and the textured countryside around them. The result is a quiet, honest portrait of a northern savanna town.

Organic lanes
Between the main roads, lanes follow the edges of compounds and plots. They form an irregular web that gives the town its natural, unplanned texture.
Savanna margin
Beyond the houses, the map opens into fields, paths and scattered trees. This light, open surround lets the town stand out clearly in the middle of the print.
