Winding older lanes
Narrow streets curve between houses and small gardens near the centre, forming a dense, irregular pattern typical of Japanese towns that grew without a formal grid.

关于地图
Ōyama Map Poster & Print
Ōyama lies in Shizuoka Prefecture, the long stretch of central Honshu that runs between the mountains of the interior and the Pacific coast. Like many smaller Japanese towns, it does not follow a single grand plan. Its streets bend with the land and older lanes wind between houses and gardens, while newer roads run straighter across flatter ground.
Shizuoka is known throughout Japan for its green tea, and much of the prefecture's countryside is shaped by cultivation: neat parcels, terraced slopes and narrow farm roads. On a map this appears as a fine, careful pattern around the built-up areas, where houses give way gradually to fields rather than stopping at a hard edge.
An Ōyama map poster rewards close reading. The density of lanes near the centre, the looser spacing further out and the long lines of the main roads all tell the story of a town that grew organically. Printed in black and white, it has the quiet precision of a Japanese survey drawing.

Farmland edges
Around the built-up area, fields and cultivated parcels create a finer pattern of lines, so the town fades into the countryside rather than ending abruptly.
Main road lines
A few longer, straighter roads cross the map and connect Ōyama to neighbouring communities, giving the composition its structure and a sense of direction.

为什么选 Ōyama
一张有意义的地图
For anyone who has lived, studied or travelled in Shizuoka, a map of Ōyama is a precise and personal souvenir. Its understated line work fits well with Japanese-inspired interiors, where a restrained print often says more than a busy image.
Write your own title, add a subtitle and the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles. HD files are $9 with no watermark, and printed posters on matte paper can be ordered with a wooden frame.
