关于地图
Ōzu Map Poster & Print
Ōzu lies in western Ehime Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, in a basin where the Hiji River makes a wide curve. The town is often called the Little Kyoto of Iyo for the preserved merchant streets of its old quarter. On the map that historic core sits compactly beside the river's bend, with hills rising on the far banks and the valley stretching away upstream.
Ōzu Castle stands on a low rise at the edge of the river. Its main keep was rebuilt in wood in 2004 using traditional methods and surviving records, a rare reconstruction in Japan. Nearby, the villa of Garyū Sansō looks out over the water. In summer the river hosts ukai, the old practice of fishing with trained cormorants from wooden boats.
An Ōzu map poster lets the Hiji River lead the composition, sweeping past the old town and separating it from the steeper ground beyond. Rail lines and roads follow the valley floor, and the surrounding hills leave broad quiet spaces. The result is an intimate, well-balanced map of a place shaped by its river and its castle.

Castle on the rise
Ōzu Castle stands on a low hill at the river's edge. Its wooden keep, rebuilt in 2004, marks a quiet high point at the heart of the historic quarter.
Old merchant streets
The preserved lanes behind the nickname Little Kyoto of Iyo form a small, closely woven grid of narrow streets near the river, the finest detail on the poster.

为什么选 Ōzu
一张有意义的地图
Ōzu appeals to people who have walked its old streets, watched the cormorant boats or have family in Ehime. It also suits anyone who loves Japanese castle towns. The river and hills give the map a natural composure that works well in a calm room.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the date of a visit, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. See a free 900 px preview first, then download the HD files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional frame.
