关于地图
Palermo Soho Map Poster & Print
Palermo Soho is the informal name for part of Palermo Viejo in Buenos Aires, roughly the blocks around Plaza Serrano. On the map it follows the city's orthogonal grid, with square blocks and streets meeting at right angles, but the scale is smaller and gentler than downtown. Railway lines cross the wider Palermo area on long diagonals and interrupt the regular pattern in a few places.
Plaza Serrano, officially Plazoleta Julio Cortázar, is small, and the streets around it are lined with low houses turned into shops, cafés and studios. Jorge Luis Borges spent part of his childhood on one of these streets, which now bears his name. The large parks known as the Bosques de Palermo lie farther northeast, toward the river.
A Palermo Soho map poster follows the rhythm of the district: evenly spaced blocks, tree-lined streets and the occasional diagonal avenue or rail cut. It is not a dramatic landscape but a finely woven one, and at large sizes the grid takes on a textile quality. A title naming a favorite street corner can suit it as well as the district's own name.

Railway cuts
Rail lines cross Palermo at an angle, slicing through the orthogonal grid and creating the triangular blocks that stand out on the map.
Tree-lined grid
Square blocks of low buildings repeat evenly in every direction. This calm, uniform pattern is typical of Buenos Aires and gives the print its texture.

为什么选 Palermo Soho
一张有意义的地图
People who spent a season in Buenos Aires often lived or worked around Palermo, and these streets hold memories of long lunches and late dinners. A map of those blocks is modest, personal and easy to live with.
