The Pechora River
The river the town is named after dominates the map, a wide channel with islands, sandbars and side arms that make a soft, irregular shape against the tighter lines of the streets.

关于地图
Pechora Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Pechora is shaped by its river. The Pechora runs wide and slow past the town, with sandbars, side channels and flat floodplain spreading out on either side. The built-up area sits on the bank in a compact block of streets, and beyond its edges the map quickly turns to forest, bog and scattered lakes. The river takes up much of the frame.
The town grew up around a crossing where the northern railway meets the river, and the line is still one of the strongest marks on the map. It runs through the settlement toward the rail bridge and the far bank, with sidings and yards alongside. Streets follow a mostly regular layout set against it, typical of a planned twentieth-century town in the Komi Republic.
A Pechora map poster keeps all of this in plain black and white: the pale width of the river, the fine grid of residential streets, the straight run of track and the loose texture of the northern landscape around it. Without colour, the contrast between the dense town and the thin network of roads and water beyond becomes the main subject of the print.

Railway crossing
The northern railway passes through the town and crosses the river here, drawing a long straight line that anchors the composition and explains why the town stands where it does.
Taiga and wetland
Past the last streets the map opens into forest, marsh and small lakes, a sparse field of roads and water that frames the settlement and hints at how far north it lies.

为什么选 Pechora
一张有意义的地图
Pechora is a place people tend to be tied to by work, family or a stretch of years spent in the north, and a map of it carries that quietly. It suits someone who grew up by the river, worked on the railway, or simply wants a reminder of a town most maps leave unlabelled.
Each poster can be personalised with your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a name and a year. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get HD digital files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
