Colliery districts
Neighbourhoods grew around individual mines, so the town shows up as several clusters of streets rather than one central core.

关于地图
Pelahiivka Map Poster & Print
Pelahiivka lies in the eastern part of Donetsk region in Ukraine, in the heart of the Donbas coalfield. Like many towns here, it grew up around mines, and the map still shows it. Housing districts cluster near former colliery sites, rail spurs thread between them, and the conical spoil heaps that mark the Donbas horizon break up the landscape.
The streets follow the practical logic of an industrial settlement: straight roads of low houses and some areas of apartment blocks, arranged around workplaces rather than around a single historic centre. The town lies in a closely linked group of mining settlements, so roads and railways connect it in several directions across the steppe.
A Pelahiivka map poster records that working landscape carefully and without decoration. Printed in monochrome, the combination of street blocks, rail lines and open steppe forms a graphic of real character, meaningful to people who were born here or who worked the mines, wherever they live now.

Rail lines
Railway tracks and industrial spurs cross the area, thin precise lines that recall the coal traffic the town was built around.
Open steppe
Beyond the built-up areas lies flat and gently rolling steppe, a wide open field that frames the town's clusters.

一张有意义的地图
Many people from Pelahiivka now live far from it, and a map can hold the memory of a street, a school or a family home more steadily than a photograph.
