关于地图
Pimenta Bueno Map Poster & Print
Pimenta Bueno lies in the south-east of Rondônia, one of the towns that grew along the BR-364 highway as settlers moved into the region in the late twentieth century. On a map, the highway is the main line through the town, and the streets around it are laid out in a straight, regular grid.
A river runs past the town, and its winding course makes a strong contrast with the straight streets. Bridges carry the highway across the water, and the densest blocks sit close to the crossings and to the main road.
Beyond the town, cleared farmland and patches of forest spread across the lowlands in long rectangular plots. A Pimenta Bueno map poster captures the shape of a young Amazon town, built quickly on a planned grid between the road and the river.

Winding river
The river curves past the town, a soft natural line against the rigid street grid and the long straight farm roads.
Regular blocks
Evenly spaced streets form a tidy chequerboard, a clear sign of the town's planned origins in the settlement era.
