Old town core
Narrow lanes twist and branch through the historic centre. The tightly packed pattern contrasts sharply with the straight field boundaries around it.

关于地图
Pind Dadan Khan Map Poster & Print
Pind Dadan Khan is a town in Jhelum District, in the north of Pakistan's Punjab. It sits on the flat land south of the Jhelum River, close to where the Salt Range rises sharply from the plain. On the map the town is a dense old core of narrow, irregular lanes, surrounded by fields and crossed by roads that lead toward the river and the hills.
The area has long been known for salt. The Khewra Salt Mine, one of the oldest and largest salt mines in the world, is a short distance away in the foothills. The town grew as a trading and administrative centre for this region. The contrast between the soft river plain and the rugged ridges defines the landscape.
A Pind Dadan Khan map poster is a personal object for anyone with family ties to the Jhelum region, including many in the diaspora abroad. It shows the old town in fine detail, with flat farmland spreading around it and the roads that connect it to the river and the range.

Salt Range
To the south, the Salt Range rises steeply out of the plain. The famous Khewra salt mine lies in its foothills nearby.
Jhelum plain
North of the town, flat irrigated farmland stretches toward the Jhelum River. Rural roads and channels cross it and give the map a fine, even texture.
