Oder waterfront
The river and its side channels run along the eastern side of town, with islands and wetlands between them. Together they form a detailed, watery edge.

关于地图
Police Map Poster & Print
Police lies just north of Szczecin in West Pomerania, on the west bank of the Oder where the river widens toward the Szczecin Lagoon. From above, the town sits between water and woodland. Residential estates line the ground above the river, and the large Wkrzańska Forest spreads to the west.
The town is known for its large chemical works, one of Poland's major fertiliser producers, which occupies a wide area by the river north of the centre. The site has a longer history: during the Second World War, the Germans built a synthetic fuel plant here, when the town was called Pölitz, and its ruins are still in the area.
A Police map poster shows the Oder channels and islands, the large rectangular footprint of the industrial complex, the housing blocks and the dark mass of forest. It is a bold, graphic map for anyone with ties to the town or the lower Oder.

Chemical works
The large industrial complex north of the centre appears as a wide area of big rectangular blocks. It stands apart from the finer residential streets.
Wkrzańska Forest
To the west, a large forest extends toward the German border. On the map it is a broad, calm expanse beside the town.
