关于地图
Ranot Map Poster & Print
Ranot lies in the north of Songkhla province in southern Thailand, on the long, low peninsula that separates the Songkhla lake system from the Gulf of Thailand. From above, the geography is striking: water on the west, open sea on the east and a band of land between them. The town sits along the main road running the length of this peninsula.
The land around Ranot is flat and low, divided into rice fields, sugar palm stands and small villages linked by roads and canals. On the lagoon side, the shoreline is broken by marshes and inlets. On the gulf side, a long, straight beach runs north and south. Local life has long depended on farming, fishing and the resources of the lake and the sea.
A Ranot map poster shows how this place is shaped by water on both sides. The main road and the town's streets form a thin line of settlement, while the lake and the sea frame it with wide, calm space. It suits people from the area and anyone who has travelled the quiet peninsula road between Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

A main road runs along the length of the peninsula, with the town and villages strung along it like beads on a line.
Paddies and palms
Flat rice fields and stands of sugar palm fill the land around town, divided by small canals and roads that create a fine, regular pattern.
