Paraíba do Sul
The river curves through the middle of Resende, with bridges linking the two halves of the city. It gives the poster a strong, flowing central line.

关于地图
Resende Map Poster & Print
Resende lies in the Paraíba Valley in the far west of Rio de Janeiro state, on the main corridor between Rio and São Paulo. From above, the city follows the Paraíba do Sul River, which winds through its centre. Neighbourhoods rise onto low hills on either bank, and to the north the land climbs steeply towards the Serra da Mantiqueira.
The city is home to the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras, Brazil's army officer academy, whose large grounds are clearly visible on the map. Just beyond Resende rises Itatiaia National Park. It was established in 1937 as Brazil's first national park and includes the rocky summit of Pico das Agulhas Negras. The valley location has also made Resende an industrial centre, with motor-vehicle manufacturing in the region.
A Resende map poster sets the meandering river against the city's streets and the open spaces of the academy grounds. The Via Dutra highway runs through the valley as a bold straight line. Inked in black and white, river, road and hills make an unusually balanced composition.

为什么选 Resende
一张有意义的地图
Resende is home to many families, cadets and alumni of the academy, and a gateway to Itatiaia for hikers. A map of the valley city makes a fitting reminder of years spent there or of a first climb in the mountains.
Personalise the title and subtitle, with a graduating class, a year or a family name, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px preview shows the result before you buy.
