Linear main street
The town stretches along its principal road, so the densest part of the poster forms a long spine with short lanes branching off at intervals.

关于地图
Ron Phibun Map Poster & Print
Ron Phibun is a district town in Nakhon Si Thammarat province in southern Thailand. It lies where the lowlands meet the forested ridges of the Nakhon Si Thammarat range to the west. The town follows its main road instead of spreading into a broad grid, and side lanes run off towards homes, plantations and small streams.
The area has a long association with tin mining, which shaped the local landscape and economy for generations before the industry wound down. Today much of the surrounding land is given to rubber, fruit orchards and rice paddies. On the map this appears as an irregular quilt of plots, broken by streams flowing down from the hills towards the plain.
A Ron Phibun map poster turns this linear town into a clean graphic line with a delicate fringe of lanes on either side. The rising ground to the west and the flatter land to the east give the composition a sense of direction. It shows how closely southern Thai towns are tied to the terrain around them.

Mountain edge
To the west the lowland gives way to the forested Nakhon Si Thammarat range, and roads grow fewer and more winding as the ground rises.
Streams and plots
Small streams run down across the plain, threading between orchards, rubber plantations and paddies that give the outskirts their patchwork texture.
