Şāfītā Map Poster & Print
Şāfītā sits on high ground inland from the Mediterranean coast in the Tartus Governorate. From above, the town does not follow a grid. Its streets follow the contours instead, climbing and doubling back across a set of rounded hills. Lanes gather tightly around the summit, then loosen into longer roads that run out towards the surrounding villages and farmland.
The town is best known for Chastel Blanc, the White Tower, a massive keep built in the Crusader period and linked to the Knights Templar. It still stands at the top of the old quarter. On the map the tower's hill appears as a dense knot where the lines draw close together, and the rest of the town seems to radiate from it.
A Şāfītā map poster shows how a settlement shaped by defence and terrain looks when reduced to line. The old core is packed and irregular. Newer districts spread along the slopes, and the roads to the coast and the hinterland fan out. The result reads as organic rather than planned, which gives the print a quiet, hand-drawn quality.
