关于地图
San Marcelino Map Poster & Print
San Marcelino lies in Zambales province on Luzon, inland from the western coast and a short distance north of the Subic Bay area. Its map shows a town centre with a roughly regular street pattern, set on a wide plain of farmland, with the Zambales Mountains rising to the east. Roads lead out toward neighbouring towns in several directions.
The 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo, to the north-east, reshaped this part of Zambales. Volcanic sediment carried by rivers altered channels and buried farmland, and the wide, pale riverbeds visible on maps of the area are partly a legacy of those years. The landscape has since recovered, but its shape still records that event.
A San Marcelino map poster brings together the orderly town centre, the surrounding rice fields and the broad rivers that cross the plain. At a wider scale, the Zambales range begins to appear, adding a quieter, sparsely drawn area that balances the settled lowland. It is a composition built on the contrast between worked plain and high ground.

Wide riverbeds
Broad river channels cross the plain as pale, braided shapes, a distinctive feature of this part of Zambales and a strong graphic element on the print.
Zambales Mountains
To the east the land rises into the Zambales range, where roads thin out and the map becomes open and quiet, framing the lowland town.
