关于地图
Sestao Map Poster & Print
Sestao sits on the left bank of the Nervión estuary, downstream from Bilbao, on land that rises sharply from the water. From above, the town is compact and tightly packed. Residential streets climb the hill in short, angled segments, while the flat strip along the estuary is taken up by large industrial plots, quays and rail lines.
For much of the twentieth century Sestao was one of the industrial centres of Bizkaia, home to large steelworks and shipyards that shaped both its economy and its layout. Many of those sites have changed or been cleared, but their outlines remain visible as broad, open areas that contrast with the narrow residential blocks further uphill.
Barakaldo and Portugalete border the town closely, so the built-up area continues without a break along the estuary. A Sestao map poster shows the moment where the curve of the river meets the hillside, with the water's edge as the defining line and the town rising behind it.

Former industrial land
Large rectangular plots along the waterfront mark where the steel and shipbuilding industries operated, leaving broad shapes among the smaller urban blocks.
Streets on the slope
Inland, the residential grid breaks into short, stepped streets as the ground rises, giving the upper town a busy, closely drawn texture.

为什么选 Sestao
一张有意义的地图
Sestao means a lot to families whose history is tied to the estuary's industry and to anyone who grew up on its steep streets. The contrast between water, heavy industry and dense housing makes a strong, architectural print.
Add a personal title, a date in the subtitle and the coordinates line, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the composition before you buy the $9 HD files.
