关于地图
Shamkhir Map Poster & Print
Shamkhir is in western Azerbaijan, on the plain between the Lesser Caucasus foothills and the Kura River. The Shamkirchay river flows past the town. To the northeast, a dam on the Kura has created the large Shamkir reservoir, one of the biggest bodies of water in the country, which is a striking feature on any regional map.
The town has a notable past. The ruins of medieval Shamkir lie nearby, and in the nineteenth century German settlers founded a colony here called Annenfeld, known for winemaking. That heritage is still reflected in the orderly street layout and the vineyards and orchards around the town.
A Shamkhir map poster combines a regular urban grid with the natural lines of the river and irrigation canals, while the reservoir adds a large, calm expanse of water in wider framings. The composition feels orderly and fertile, a picture of a farming town shaped by water from the mountains.

Orderly town layout
Straight streets and regular blocks, partly inherited from the nineteenth-century Annenfeld colony, give the centre a clear, measured structure.
Kura reservoir
The Shamkir reservoir on the Kura lies to the northeast, a vast expanse of water that dominates wider views of the area.

为什么选 Shamkhir
一张有意义的地图
For Azerbaijanis from Shamkhir, and for descendants of the German families who once lived in Annenfeld, a map of the town connects several layers of history. It is a thoughtful piece for a home far from the Caucasus.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps adding Annenfeld as a subtitle or a family year. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
