关于地图
Shivpuri Map Poster & Print
Shivpuri lies on the plateau of northern Madhya Pradesh, south-west of Gwalior. Its map is unusual for a town of its size because so much of the frame is taken up by water and forest. The built-up area sits right beside the large wooded expanse of Madhav National Park, with lakes spreading across the landscape around it.
Sakhya Sagar and Madhav Sagar, reservoirs created in the early twentieth century, are the largest shapes on the map, their irregular shores fringed with forest. The town mixes older bazaar streets with wider roads laid out when the Scindia rulers of Gwalior used Shivpuri as their summer capital.
The marble chhatris, or cenotaphs, of the Scindia family stand in formal gardens in the town, set around a water tank, and are among its best-known sights. A Shivpuri map poster shows how closely town and wild landscape sit together, from the ordered gardens and bazaar streets to the lakeshores and forest that fill the rest of the frame.

Madhav National Park
The park's woodland covers a wide area next to the town. It leaves a large quiet field that makes the urban streets look small and concentrated.
Chhatri gardens
The formal gardens around the Scindia cenotaphs form a geometric patch of paths within the town, a clear, ordered footprint among the looser streets.
