关于地图
Sholinganallur Map Poster & Print
Sholinganallur lies in the south of Chennai, along Rajiv Gandhi Salai, better known as the Old Mahabalipuram Road or OMR. On a map the area is long and linear. The OMR runs straight north to south, the Buckingham Canal runs close by, and the East Coast Road and the Bay of Bengal lie a short distance to the east.
Over the past two decades the district has grown into a major hub of Chennai's IT corridor. From above, large office campuses and apartment complexes stand next to older village streets. To the west, the wetlands of the Pallikaranai marsh break up the built-up area and give the map a large, irregular open space.
A Sholinganallur map poster contrasts straight infrastructure lines with water and wetland. The highway, canal and coastline run in parallel, and the marsh and lakes add softer shapes. It suits people who moved here for work and made a home among the towers and old lanes.

Buckingham Canal
The historic canal runs parallel to the coast near the main road. It adds a long, narrow water line to the map.
Marshland edge
Wetlands to the west form a large open area. On the poster it contrasts clearly with the dense new development along the corridor.
