Gulf of Finland shore
The coastline runs along the north of the town. It gives the map a long, clean edge of open water and a clear sense of direction.

关于地图
Sosnovyy Bor Map Poster & Print
Sosnovyy Bor lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, west of St Petersburg. Its name means pine forest, and it describes the map well. The town is set among trees, with long residential blocks laid out in the open spaces between them. The coastline runs along its northern side, and the forest surrounds it on land.
It was founded in the late 1950s and grew up around the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant, which still stands on the coast nearby. For decades it was a closed town. Its planned layout, with broad streets, large microdistricts and plenty of greenery, reflects that period and purpose.
A Sosnovyy Bor map poster shows a clearly designed town. It has wide avenues and deliberately spaced housing blocks, the straight edge of the gulf on one side and dark forest all around. It is an unusual subject, and in black and white it has the precision of an architectural plan.

Planned microdistricts
Residential areas are arranged in large, evenly spaced blocks with green space between them, which is typical of Soviet town planning from the 1960s and 1970s.
Pine forest setting
Forest fills the gaps between neighbourhoods and surrounds the town, so on the print the settlement looks cut out of the trees.

为什么选 Sosnovyy Bor
一张有意义的地图
Sosnovyy Bor has a close community of people who worked at the plant or grew up in its planned streets. A map of the town is a precise and personal reminder of that place, whether you hang it near St Petersburg or much further away.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates, in Cyrillic or Latin lettering. You can choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the town's engineered character.
