关于地图
Strawberry Hill Map Poster & Print
Strawberry Hill is a neighbourhood in Surrey, in the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia. Surrey's roads follow a numbered grid of avenues and streets, and from above the main arterial roads mark out large, regular squares. Inside each square, residential streets break into crescents, cul-de-sacs and short loops, and the pattern repeats across the area.
The neighbourhood sits on the gently rolling upland south of the Fraser River, and its map mixes housing, commercial frontage along the main roads, school grounds and small neighbourhood parks. Surrey is one of the fastest-growing cities in the province and home to a large South Asian community, and both facts show up in the everyday life of the area.
A Strawberry Hill map poster shows the logic of a modern Canadian suburb: a firm framework of straight arterial roads, filled in with more intimate streets where families actually live. The contrast between the big grid and the small curves gives the design its rhythm. For residents, the exact street of home is easy to find.

Crescents and cul-de-sacs
Within each grid square, residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs. These small shapes fill the space between arterials with fine, detailed lines.
Parks and school fields
Neighbourhood parks and school grounds appear as open spaces scattered through the housing, giving the map moments of quiet between the residential streets.

为什么选 Strawberry Hill
一张有意义的地图
A first house, a family that settled here from abroad, children raised within walking distance of a school: Strawberry Hill is that kind of place, and a map records it well. It is specific without being loud, and it fits naturally into a home.
