Takelsa lies on the Cap Bon peninsula in northeastern Tunisia, in Nabeul Governorate. Cap Bon juts into the Mediterranean between the Gulf of Tunis and the Gulf of Hammamet, and Takelsa sits in its northwestern part. On the map, the town appears as a modest cluster of streets surrounded by a patchwork of fields, orchards and low hills.
Cap Bon is one of Tunisia's most productive agricultural areas, known for citrus, vineyards, vegetables and olives. The land around Takelsa follows that pattern, with field boundaries and farm tracks creating a fine, irregular grid beyond the edge of town. Roads link it to neighbouring towns and toward the coast.
