关于地图
Terrassa Map Poster & Print
Terrassa lies in the Vallès Occidental, northwest of Barcelona, on a plain that slopes gently down from the mountains to the north. Its map is shaped by the torrents, or rieres, that have cut deep, green channels through the city, dividing it into separate districts linked by bridges. The old centre is compact, and around it the nineteenth-century and newer neighbourhoods spread outward in grids.
During the industrial revolution Terrassa became one of Catalonia's leading wool textile centres, and many modernist factory buildings from that period survive, including the Aymerich, Amat i Jover factory, which now houses the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia. The Romanesque ensemble of the Seu d'Ègara churches has roots dating back to the early Christian era.
A Terrassa map poster shows the dense core, the curving green lines of the rieres, the regular grids of the Eixample-style districts and the parks along the edges, all set against the rising ground toward Sant Llorenç del Munt. It is a map of an industrial city built on uneven ground, with plenty of texture to explore.

Seu d'Ègara
On the edge of one of the stream valleys, the group of three early churches occupies a small, distinct site, one of the oldest landmarks within the city's fabric.
Industrial grid
The districts built during the textile boom follow a regular grid, their straight streets and long factory blocks standing out against the older, irregular centre.

为什么选 Terrassa
一张有意义的地图
Terrassa carries the memory of textile work, hockey matches and walks up toward the Montserrat and Sant Llorenç ridges. A map of its streets and rieres is a quiet reminder of that particular landscape.
