Dispersed settlement
Houses and lanes spread evenly across the area instead of gathering in one centre. The result is a fine, uniform texture over the whole map.

关于地图
Thodiyoor Map Poster & Print
Thodiyoor is a panchayat in Kollam district in southern Kerala, near the town of Karunagappally. Like much of the Kerala lowlands, it is not organised around a single centre. Homes are spread across the land among coconut palms and garden plots, and a network of narrow roads and footpaths connects them. The map shows a fine, even pattern of settlement across the whole area.
Paddy fields and wetlands create open, low-lying areas between clusters of houses, and on a map they appear as calm spaces within the dense texture. Ponds and small water bodies are common, and canals and streams run toward the backwaters nearer the coast. A few main roads cross the area and link it to Karunagappally and the national highway to the west.
Thodiyoor is a largely residential and agricultural community, with temples, churches and mosques serving its neighbourhoods. Like many villages in the district, it has strong ties with families working in the Gulf. A Thodiyoor map poster captures the typical Kerala pattern of settlement: houses set among greenery and water, without a sharp line between village and countryside.

一张有意义的地图
A map of Thodiyoor suits families who have moved to other parts of India or to the Gulf and want to keep their home village close. The fine pattern of lanes and fields gives a textured, detailed print that looks good in a hallway or living room.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example with a house name, a family name or a wedding date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, and printed posters are also available.
