Ashtamudi's arms
The lake spreads in several long branches, creating an irregular, finger-like shoreline. It is by far the boldest element on the poster.

关于地图
Tirkadavūr Map Poster & Print
Tirkadavūr, also written Thrikkadavoor, lies on the northeastern edge of Kollam in southern Kerala, along the shores of Ashtamudi Lake. Ashtamudi is one of the most distinctive bodies of water in India. Its name refers to its many branches, which reach inland like the fingers of a hand. On a map, the water shapes everything around it.
The land around Tirkadavūr is broken into peninsulas and small islands, separated by narrow backwater channels. Roads run along the spines of dry land and cross the water on bridges, and houses line the shores under coconut palms. The area is also known for its old Shiva temple, which is an important local landmark.
A Tirkadavūr map poster is really a portrait of the lake. It shows the jagged, branching shoreline, streets squeezed onto narrow strips of land and the open water dominating the frame. Few places in Kerala give a map such a strong and unusual shape.

Peninsulas and islets
Tongues of land and small islands sit among the backwaters, each with its own few roads and paths. They give the composition intricate detail.
Bridges and causeways
Roads jump between land fragments on short bridges. Seen from above, these thin links hold the fragmented landscape together.

为什么选 Tirkadavūr
一张有意义的地图
Anyone who grew up by Ashtamudi knows how much the water defines daily life here. A Tirkadavūr map, titled with a family name or house name and dated to a wedding or homecoming, captures that shape in a single frame.
Blueprint and Noir give the lake a deep, graphic presence. Paper and Sand turn it into something closer to an old survey sheet. Classic black & white is the cleanest option. Printed posters ship from partners in over thirty countries, including to Gulf-based families.
