关于地图
Towada Map Poster & Print
Towada is a city in Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan. Its urban centre, on the Sanbongi plain, is unusual for Japan: it was laid out as a regular grid when the land was developed from the mid-nineteenth century onward, after irrigation canals brought water to what had been dry upland. On a map the centre reads as a neat rectangle of streets.
The main avenue, Kanchōgai-dōri, is lined with pine and cherry trees and holds the Towada Art Center, whose separate white gallery buildings and outdoor sculptures have become a draw for visitors. The municipality also reaches west into the mountains, including Lake Towada and the Oirase Stream, well known for their autumn colour.
A Towada map poster can focus on the grid of the city centre, or widen to show how the plain gives way to forest and the great caldera lake. Either way, the ordered streets and the natural landscape around them make a balanced, distinctive composition.

Lake Towada
The large caldera lake lies within the municipality to the west, and its rounded outline makes a striking feature on a wider map.

为什么选 Towada
一张有意义的地图
Towada appeals to people who value order and nature together: a grid city with an art centre on its main street, and a mountain lake within reach. The map shows both sides of the place.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a trip date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, or download HD files for $9.
