Grid and ger plots
The central grid of streets is ringed by districts of rectangular fenced plots, creating a fine, regular texture that frames the more formal town centre.

关于地图
Ulaangom Map Poster & Print
Ulaangom is the capital of Uvs Province in northwestern Mongolia, close to the border with Russia's Tuva Republic. The town sits at the foot of the mountains to its west, where the ground drops toward the wide basin of Uvs Lake. Uvs Lake is the largest lake in Mongolia by area, and its basin is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared with Russia.
From above, Ulaangom is a compact grid of streets, courtyards and fenced plots. Ger districts spread around the more formal centre, where administrative buildings and apartment blocks line the main roads. Streams coming down from the mountains cross the edge of town. Roads leave toward the lake and neighbouring provinces as long tracks across open steppe.
An Ulaangom map poster shows a town surrounded by space. The street grid sits in the middle of the sheet, the fenced ger plots form a finer texture around it, and then the land opens into steppe on every side. It is a bold, minimal composition that suits people who know how far this corner of Mongolia is from everywhere else.

Mountain-fed streams
Watercourses flowing down from the mountains to the west cross the edge of town, adding thin natural lines to the otherwise orderly street pattern.
Steppe roads
Beyond the town, only a few long roads and tracks cross the open land toward Uvs Lake and the rest of the province, leaving wide empty space on the poster.
