Arabian Sea shore
A long, gently curving coast runs along one side of the map. It gives the print a clean edge and places Vettūr firmly on Kerala's shoreline.

关于地图
Vettūr Map Poster & Print
Vettūr lies on the coast of Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala, next to the well-known seaside town of Varkala. Like much of this shoreline, it does not form a compact block. Houses, lanes and small roads spread through coconut groves in a loose, continuous settlement, and the map shows a fine web of paths instead of a clear centre.
The sea forms one edge of the place, with a long, gently curving shore. Inland, backwater channels and low-lying wet ground break up the land and add winding water lines to the map. The coast around Varkala is also known for its unusual laterite cliffs, which rise directly above the beach and are rare on India's west coast.
A Vettūr map poster brings these layers together: the ocean shore, the web of village lanes and the soft shapes of backwater and wetland. It is a subtle composition without a strict grid or a single dominant road, which makes it a good picture of how Kerala's coastal communities spread across the land.

Lane network
Narrow roads and lanes weave through the settlement without a central grid. In monochrome they form a delicate, branching pattern across the whole sheet.
Backwater edges
Channels and low wetland inland add curving water shapes. They break the lanes into irregular pockets and reflect the waterways typical of southern Kerala.
