Contour-following roads
The main streets curve with the slopes rather than cutting across them, drawing soft arcs that repeat through the town and out into the countryside.

关于地图
Zhoujia Map Poster & Print
Zhoujia lies in the rolling hill country of north-eastern Chongqing, far from the Yangtze megacity that shares the municipality's name. Almost no ground here is flat. Roads follow the contours, and the built area settles into whatever level land the valleys offer.
Seen from above, the town is a loose knot of streets rather than a grid. Newer blocks sit along the main roads, and older lanes crowd closer together near the centre. Outside town, farm tracks wind between terraced fields and small reservoirs. That network of curving lines gives the map a hand-drawn quality even though every line follows the real terrain.
A Zhoujia map poster suits anyone who knows this part of Chongqing, where towns are shaped by hills instead of rivers or coastlines. In black and white the contour-hugging roads read almost like topography, so the land itself becomes the subject.

Valley-floor centre
The densest part of Zhoujia sits on the flattest land available, so the core looks like a small pool of streets held in by hills.
Terraced surroundings
Farm tracks and field boundaries on the hillsides beyond town add a fine, layered texture around the edges of the composition.

为什么选 Zhoujia
一张有意义的地图
Hometown maps mean a lot in a province where many people have moved to bigger cities for work. A print of Zhoujia keeps the exact streets of home on the wall, drawn simply enough to fit a modern apartment.
Add a family name, a date or the town's name in Chinese characters in the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
