Upland streets
Streets spread across uneven high ground rather than in a tight grid. That gives the town a loose, sprawling outline on the print.

Aarsâl Map Poster & Print
Aarsâl lies in the northeast of Lebanon's Beqaa Valley, high on the western flanks of the Anti-Lebanon mountains near the Syrian border. The land is dry and rocky. On a map the town spreads loosely over sloping ground, and its streets follow the natural shape of the uplands.
The surrounding country is largely open and stony, used for orchards, grazing and stone quarrying, which has long been part of the local economy. In recent years the town also received large numbers of refugees from Syria, and settlements grew around its edges.
An Aarsâl map poster shows a town defined by its high, open setting. There is a loose central network of streets, and roads and tracks disappear into the mountains. It is a quiet, spacious composition that reflects the scale of the landscape more than the density of the town.

Anti-Lebanon slopes
The mountains towards the Syrian border rise to the east. On the map they appear as broad open space crossed only by scattered tracks.
Quarry country
Stone quarrying has long been part of life here. The rocky, open terrain around the town explains the sparse, airy feel of the surroundings.

For people from Aarsâl and the northern Beqaa, this is a recognisable picture of home in a mountain setting. The open composition works well on a large wall where the space can be felt.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates to anything you like, from a family name to a significant year. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand are available. Sand matches the stony landscape.
