Bagrām Map Poster & Print
Bagrām lies in Parwan province in Afghanistan, on the Shomali plain north of Kabul. The plain is surrounded by mountains, and on a map the town sits on open, flat ground with the foothills of the Hindu Kush rising in the distance. Rivers flowing down from the valleys to the north cross the plain nearby.
The largest single feature on the map is the airfield, with its long runway and extensive surrounding facilities, which dominates the area. The town's streets lie close by, a smaller cluster of lanes and compounds connected to the main roads leading to Kabul and Charikar.
The area has a much older history. The archaeological site at Begram is identified with ancient Kapisa, and excavations there uncovered the Begram Hoard, a collection of ivories, glass and bronzes showing trade connections from India to the Mediterranean. A Bagrām map poster sets the town and its runway against the flat plain and the mountains beyond.

Shomali plain
Flat farmland and orchards spread around the town, crossed by irrigation channels and rural roads, with mountains framing the horizon.
Ancient Kapisa
Nearby lies the archaeological site linked to ancient Kapisa, where the Begram Hoard of ivories and glass was found in the twentieth century.

Bagrām is a place with deep personal meaning for many people, from Afghan families of the Shomali plain to those who served or worked there. A quiet, factual map can mark that time without decoration.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with years or a unit name, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, each giving a different tone.
