The centre is made of evenly spaced square blocks, a tidy pattern that forms the core of the map and reads cleanly at every size.

Bartolomé Masó Map Poster & Print
Bartolomé Masó is a town in Granma Province in eastern Cuba, on the lower ground below the northern slopes of the Sierra Maestra. The centre is a simple, regular grid of blocks, as in many Cuban towns, with roads running out from it toward the plains and up toward the mountains. Beyond the last streets the map opens into farmland.
The town and its municipality are named after Bartolomé Masó, a leader of the Cuban independence struggle in the nineteenth century. The mountains to the south are closely tied to Cuban history, and the municipality stretches from the farmed lowlands into that rugged country.
A Bartolomé Masó map poster is a quiet and orderly image: a clear block grid, a few main roads and plenty of open space around it. It suits people who grew up in the town, and people who remember time spent in the Granma countryside. The simple layout comes through clearly in every style.

Open countryside
Farmland surrounds the town on the map, leaving generous empty space that makes the compact grid stand out.

Cubans abroad often keep images of their home towns close. A map like this shows the streets where families lived, without the need for a photograph.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, for example to include a family name or a year. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
