Village centre
The small cluster of hotels, shops and lift bases around the main road is the only dense area on the map, a neat knot of streets in otherwise open country.

Beitostølen Map Poster & Print
Beitostølen is a small mountain village in Øystre Slidre, in the Valdres region of Norway, covering roughly one square kilometre. From above it is a tight cluster of hotels, shops and cabins at the foot of the lifts. Roads and trails lead north from it onto the open, treeless plateau that forms the southern approach to Jotunheimen.
The village is best known for cross-country skiing and biathlon, and it regularly hosts World Cup races early in the winter season. It is also home to a national rehabilitation centre focused on sport and activity, and to Ridderrennet, a long-running winter event for athletes with disabilities. In summer Beitostølen serves as a base for walkers heading into the high mountains.
A Beitostølen map poster is mostly space and line. The compact village grid sits at one point in the frame, while cross-country trails, a mountain road and scattered lakes spread across the plateau. The effect is clean and airy. It suits anyone who wants a map that feels like open terrain rather than city streets.

Road to Valdresflye
The mountain road heading north from the village climbs onto the Valdresflye plateau toward Jotunheimen. This long, thin line gives the poster its sense of direction.
Cross-country trails
Groomed tracks loop out from the village across the rolling plateau. This network of fine lines shows why Beitostølen is a fixture on the Nordic skiing calendar.
