The Berezina
The wide Berezina forms the eastern edge of the city, bordered by low, marshy floodplain and crossed by road and rail bridges that pull the street network toward the far bank.

Bobruysk Map Poster & Print
Bobruysk sits on the western bank of the Berezina, where the small Babruyka river flows in. From above, the Berezina is the strongest line on the sheet: a broad, slow curve bordered by floodplain, with the town drawn tight against it. Near the confluence lies the outline of the nineteenth-century fortress, its bastioned earthworks still readable as angular shapes among the trees.
Away from the water, the centre follows a regular plan laid out in the early nineteenth century, so the streets form an orderly grid of long parallel blocks. Beyond it the pattern loosens into Soviet-era districts, with larger residential blocks, industrial zones and rail lines wrapping around the edges. The fortress itself is remembered for holding out through a months-long blockade during the campaign of 1812.
A Bobruysk map poster reduces all of this to black lines on white: the river, the grid, the angular fortress and the widening ring of later housing. It works both as a record of a town built around a river crossing and a defensive position, and as a clean graphic piece for a hallway, study or living room.

Bobruisk Fortress
Built in the first half of the nineteenth century, the fortress left a pattern of bastions and earthworks near the river that still shows as sharp, geometric outlines on a detailed map.
Gridded centre
The old centre is laid out as a regular grid of straight streets and rectangular blocks, a clear contrast to the looser, larger-scale layout of the outer residential and industrial districts.

People hang a Bobruysk map because it is home, or because it once was: a childhood town, a family origin, a place tied to emigration stories that reach far beyond Belarus. The river and the old grid make it recognisable at a glance to anyone who knows it.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a year or a family name, and edit the coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper.
