Two harbour arms
The inner harbour splits into western and eastern inlets that wrap around the historic centre. This gives Brindisi one of the most distinctive coastal outlines in southern Italy.

Brindisi Map Poster & Print
Brindisi stands on the Adriatic coast of Apulia, and water defines its map. A deep natural harbour pushes inland and splits into two long inlets, the Seno di Ponente and the Seno di Levante. Between them, the historic centre sits on a narrow peninsula. The name is traced to a Messapic word for a stag's head, which fits the harbour's outline well.
For centuries the city was a gateway to the eastern Mediterranean. The Via Appia, the great Roman road from Rome, ended here, and a surviving column near the waterfront steps marks its end. Across the water, the rudder-shaped Monument to the Sailor of Italy faces the old town, and an Aragonese fort on the island of Sant'Andrea guards the harbour mouth.
A Brindisi map poster captures the mix of land and sea that makes the city unusual. It shows the dense medieval streets on their peninsula, the long quays, the outer harbour with its islands and the modern districts spreading inland in a looser grid. In black and white, the harbour looks almost like a drawing of branching coral.

Appian Way terminus
Near the harbour steps, a Roman column marks where the Via Appia reached the sea. The streets of the old town converge on the waterfront around it.
Sant'Andrea island
A small island at the mouth of the outer harbour holds a fort built under Aragonese rule. On the map it is a compact geometric shape set against open water.

Brindisi means different things to different people: a hometown, a ferry crossing to Greece, a summer base in Salento or an ancestral town. Its harbour outline is recognisable at a glance, so the map works well as a large statement piece in a living room or office.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or the year you sailed from here. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the port especially well. The files come as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
