Straight street grid
Evenly spaced streets cross at right angles and give the town a clean, regular pattern that prints very well.

Camajuaní Map Poster & Print
Camajuaní is a town in Villa Clara Province in central Cuba, northeast of Santa Clara. From above it shows the orderly plan found in many Cuban country towns: a grid of straight streets, a central square, and blocks that end abruptly where farmland begins.
The town is best known across Cuba for its parrandas, a street festival shared with other towns in the region. Every year its two neighbourhood sides, the Chivos and the Sapos, compete with floats, fireworks and music. The rivalry divides the grid into two halves that anyone local can point to on a map.
A Camajuaní map poster brings out the clarity of the plan. The grid is regular enough to look almost drawn with a ruler, and roads and a railway lead out of it across flat agricultural land toward nearby towns.

Two festival sides
The town is split between the Chivos and Sapos neighbourhoods, whose rivalry takes over its streets during the yearly parrandas.
Farmland edge
The grid stops at open agricultural land, so the town appears as a compact rectangle surrounded by fields.

For Cubans at home or abroad, Camajuaní is closely tied to family and to the noise of the parrandas. A map of the grid, perhaps with your side of town in mind, keeps that memory on the wall.
Put a family name, your neighbourhood or a year in the title and subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
