Alun-alun centre
The town square and the streets around it form the orderly civic heart of Ciamis, a small, regular grid that anchors the map and contrasts with the curving countryside.

Ciamis Map Poster & Print
Ciamis lies in the eastern part of West Java, in the hilly region often called Priangan Timur, between Tasikmalaya and Banjar. On a map the town centre is a compact grid around the main square and government buildings, while the roads leading out quickly start to bend and follow the contours of the surrounding hills and valleys.
The area has deep roots in Sundanese history: the regency was long known as Galuh, the name of an old Sundanese kingdom associated with this part of Java. Today much of the land around the town is farmed, with rice paddies in the valleys, gardens and plantations on the slopes, and small villages linked by narrow lanes.
Rivers, including the Citanduy, cut through the wider area, adding curving lines of water to the map. A Ciamis map poster pairs the neat centre of a Javanese regency town with the organic, winding pattern of the countryside, a combination that feels calm and grounded in black and white, particularly at larger print sizes.

Hill roads
Roads leaving the centre bend and wind along ridges and valleys, creating loose, flowing lines that reflect the hilly terrain of eastern Priangan.
River valleys
Rivers and streams curve through the surrounding land, their valleys lined with rice fields, adding soft, irregular shapes to the outer parts of the poster.

Many people from Ciamis now live in Bandung, Jakarta or abroad, and a map of the town is a quiet way to stay connected with the hills and the alun-alun of home. It also makes a considered gift for family.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, with a name, the date of a wedding or a move, or a short line in Sundanese. Choose from five styles and download six HD sizes for $9, or order a matte printed poster.
