Clive is a suburb on the western side of the Des Moines metro area in Iowa, spanning the line between Polk and Dallas counties. Its street plan is mostly modern: curving residential roads, cul-de-sacs and a few long arterial routes that connect it to the rest of the metro.
The town's defining feature is Walnut Creek and the Clive Greenbelt Trail that follows it. On the map, the creek cuts diagonally through the suburb, with a ribbon of parkland on either side. Neighbourhoods are arranged around this green corridor.
