Guanambi Map Poster & Print
Guanambi is a regional centre in southwestern Bahia, in the semi-arid interior known as the sertão. The city occupies a broad, fairly level plain, and its map is a steady grid of streets that has expanded outward in every direction. Highways leave the centre toward neighbouring towns, and beyond the last blocks the land opens into dry farmland and scrub.
For much of the twentieth century the area was known for growing cotton, which helped make Guanambi an important commercial hub for the region. Today it serves a wide surrounding area with shops, schools and health services. The nearby highlands of the Serra Geral have become known for wind energy, with turbines lining the ridges.
A Guanambi map poster shows the city as a dense, well-ordered centre surrounded by open country. The regular blocks, the ring of newer neighbourhoods and the roads reaching toward the ridges make a clear, balanced composition. It is a quiet image of the Bahian interior, where towns grew as meeting points in a wide, dry landscape.

Serra Geral ridges
Highland ridges rise near the city, and wind turbines now stand along their crests above the dry plains.

People who grew up in Guanambi, or who left the sertão for São Paulo, Salvador or elsewhere, often want to keep their home town in view. The clear grid makes the map easy to read and easy to recognise.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a family, a street or a date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand mirrors the warm tones of the dry landscape.
