Forest clearing
The settlement sits inside a large area of pine and mixed woodland, so on the map its streets appear as a compact island surrounded by open, unbuilt space.

Kotsyubynske Map Poster & Print
Kotsyubynske is a settlement just beyond the western edge of Kyiv, in Kyiv Oblast. Its most striking feature on a map is its setting. The built-up area sits inside a wide belt of forest, with trees reaching up to the streets on nearly every side, so the town appears as a clearing in a green field.
The settlement is named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky, the Ukrainian writer known for his short stories and the novella Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. Its streets combine low-rise houses with apartment blocks, arranged in a fairly compact pattern with roads leading out through the forest towards Kyiv, Irpin and neighbouring places.
A Kotsyubynske map poster makes the relationship between town and forest easy to see. The streets form a defined shape, and the surrounding woodland gives the composition a strong, simple frame. It is an unusual map for a place so close to a capital city, and that contrast is part of its appeal.

Roads through the woods
A few roads cut through the forest to connect Kotsyubynske with Kyiv and nearby towns, forming long lines that lead the eye out from the centre.
Mixed street pattern
Private houses on small plots and blocks of flats share the settlement, giving the map a combination of fine, dense streets and larger, more open blocks.
